Metal-doped biocompatible antimicrobial inorganic powder is a product manufactured using wet chemical methods. The metal cations (Ag, etc.) contained in the product interact electrostatically with bacteria in their environment, neutralizing bacterial enzymes and causing bacteria to die within a short time.
The antimicrobial effect is provided not only by the released metal cations but also by the metal cations contained within the product. The biocompatibility of the carrier material and the release amounts of metal cations not exceeding ppm levels enable the product to deliver long-term antimicrobial effect without harming the environment and human health.
